Project Binky Keyring
Permalink

Got the hat, got the mug, don't got the key-ring - where's the key-ring guys? Fellers the world over would be proud to drive around in their scrap-mobiles wearing a Binky key-ring on their ignition keys, so why ever not? Besides which my dinky little floating lifeboat key-ring just lost the last link in its chain and has been relegated to ornamental use only, replacement urgently required!

What if BOM would make keychains from old sheetmetal on the CNC machine? The wear and tear on the machine would only add to the "specialness"

old sheetmetal

No way, it has to be stainless or platinum coated titanium here at the salty seaside.

To get more serious, would love a key tag. It should have a great saying on it like, "and then she says, there is no way you are sticking that in my ear." or "to the bat lathe."

You would say no to sheetmetal from the original Binky body, with verified tin-worm-infection?

  How about "Make the noise!"?

Yeah, it would make for a great key ring.

That's why I went with something funnier and more obscure. Kinda like putting the gt4 lump and fixings in a Mini. And they have already done "make the noise" on a t-shirt.

I rather like the idea of a piece of the original w/verified tin-worm!

I'd be afraid it would cross contaminate the tin-worm i'm already fighting on my Datsun projects, creating some type of zinc immune, super-tin-worm!

It would trash my framerails and floorpans like Godzilla through a paper mache Tokyo.

I'll keep with the sticker pack :)

Actually I think that's a cracking idea, BOM Logo with a bit of original Binky in resin (Or as a paperweight).

On the key fob, I would like to see 'Rex Harrison as Abraham Lincoln'.

I actually like this idea a lot. Either 'Rex Harrison as Abraham Lincoln' or 'Make the noise' would be brilliant on those fabric 'remove before flight' type key tags you get.

I agree with the "...only better" bit biggrin

I worry this could be like finding a prehistoric mosquito in a lump of amber. Someone may try to open it to extract Binky DNA

Untold CARnage could ensue! nodisbelief

smile

Quantify please. Exactly how much better? A tad better? One lap better? A mille miglia better? A whole RAC rally better?

I'd be happy with a keyring that just said "I'm getting the funk out". Or a window sticker.
