Hey all this is my on going pogress for my project car, i bought it back in January 2010 and have been going at it ever since.
Its gone through a few stages from stripped out to oem+, went from a power house of a 899cc engine to a 1.2 16v then onto a 1.4 16v and now finally onto a 1.4 16v turbo engine from a 500 abarth.
currently poly bushed suspension, arb, engine mounts coilovers bigger PGT3 disc brakes all around
i do have loads of pics but i will only put some up
This is how the beast looked when i first got her
few pics of first strip and mess about
ended up like this then i was unhappy with the tacky finish
back out it all came
could be worse from a rattle can?
this is the 1.4 16v i bought with delivery miles on it ( good thing as i blew the 1.2 up in 60 miles)
last pic of the 1.2 16v in its running roder with tucked loom etc

Another post this will mainly be the interior upgrading, i bought a very early cinquecento for the black dash interior and added loads of sound proofing and foam to make it more comfortable
some images of before i swapped
i spent 25 hours over a weekend swapping all the interior over and the complete car and engine loom (from tucked to normal for future mods)
had about 50 of these suckers in total stuffed into the rear quater panels
bucket seat was swapped when the new driver seat arrived ( hard to get without a ruined boulster)
this is how it looked externally after the swap to very rare oem steels that are wider then normal, back end is a tad lower and bucket seat gone
it made 103.7hp on the RR and also burnt through a strap which i got on vid if anyone want to see it ?
what happens when you want more power and a pile of cash?
yes you buy a even more powerfull engine
also managed to get my hands on a old turbo technics custom hybrid (R121) not cheap either

Engine back out slapped a new heater unit while theres nada in there makes it so much better
gives you an idea
had to mod the flywheel to fit the crank :/
front end has had new; .heater unit .master cylinder .discs +pads .wheel bearings .front hub flanges .wishbones .poly wishbone bushes .poly arb bushes .all new engine mounts with poly inserts .top struts .inner and out track rods .steering rack boots . rear discs + pads .rear calpers off for recon .all engine mounts powdercoated black
bound to be stuff ive forgot and im really far behind schedule due to items biting me in the arse
using silicone hoses to mock up to have braided made up
C&G stage 3 paddle best i could get but still wont take the power really
downpipe was made from all stainless just like the manifold but rest of the system is aluminium coated mild steel as i dont plan to keep it for long also 2.25" turbo back
coolant take bracket i knocked up
not the prettiest but it will have to suffice
slight interference fit felt direty cutting into a brand new headlight
custom intercooler
turbo in place all piping to and from turbo put inside heat resistant sleeving, also put a turbo blanket on to help with heat issues
she is tight
Last pic is where im currently upto, oem ecu packed up that came with the so going after market when ive got the moolah
any questions just ask
Thanks

Firstly - much kudos for choosing something different!
Ground clearance looks worrying though?

Hey Thanks
Theres quite abit of ground clearance more then enough to get a boot under there, its more of the picture and and cars on a slope as it makes the oil return look like it goes uphill too.
Thanks

Just a quick update
Intercooler mounted up and mostly plumbed up, just need to change the piping a small amount to keep myself happy and stress on parts reduced.
Airfilter and piping has its space too, will make up an enclosure for it too
The brand new old stock rwd arms turned up too, im one happy chappy atm.
Thanks Ash

Well she is finally back and all i can say she is an absolute animal, in the end running 14psi she made 221hp and 286nm, few issues like wheel spin on the dyno and not boosting as she should but its almost there
This is awesome , your a man after my own heart , I bet a lot of people don't see this coming

i suppose i shal give an update on this, alot has happened in a year
shortly after having her back on the road the EGT probe tip had an argue with the turbine, safe to say the probe won, i took this excause of a broken turbo to have a complete strip down and rebuilt the car as 4x4 as you do
glad i have a good boss first week there "yea im gonna have this is bits for an age thanks"
i was pretty bored of it being some what "comfortable" so i decided to removal all the sound proofing i put it last year (what a pita)
i then decided i to make a list of as theres bugger all chance i can remember it all
there isnt alot fo pictures of all minor details etc as im sure most wont find it of interest
first donor 4x4 box compared to 2wd box
rear hubs took some head scratching due to odd bearing sizes and bolt patterns, didnt fancy machining the oem cast hubs so made some up out of a big lump of good old steel
cad who would of thought
modified rear beam that was reinforced and plated upto the tow bar (yes really) to make one massive under car brace, ended up being blasted slapped in red lead then hammer****ed for good measure, all top surfacesand where shultz'd when fitted to stop any corrosion even starting
hubs mounted to arms with alloy calipers etc fitted
i uprated the injectors from the original 300cc's to 625ccs and did a full fuel system upgrade as pushing back then 5.5bar (now 3.5 bar)through 18 year old rubber hose welll yeah, a big wedge of cash to torque UK on ebay (what a plug) and i had a really nice setup for full stealth (black) fittings adaptors hardline flexis and fuel pump setup
50L half foam filled fuel cell for the boot mounted onto a very sturdy and rigid base
billet flywheel goodness for TTV racing
a few random pics of mocking up rear end for cv joints shaft lengths and angles
didnt really take much more pictures after this point but here is a few pics after i had run it in
you have to dont you, this resulted in me holing the custom alloy radiator
