Fully Charged with Robert Lllewllyn, aka Kryton in Red Dwarf, cos he is really committed to zero pollution cars (and cos he can out-cuss anyone, present company included).

I may have at one time or another indicated that the Binky project is dragging on a bit (IMHO) but it has flashed by in an instant. This Audi Quattro project took 10 years and was much simpler. Taking a car apart, repairing some small bits and putting it back together again. How hard can it be? www.youtube.com/watch
Looking forward to many years of high quality Binky production. :)

I was wondering how to fibre glass panels for my project, and I came across WJP004. An old Aussie chap with little disregard for health, safety or his own health. But he's doing a fantastic series on making a race car out of a Civic. He doesn't know how to balance audio so sometimes his voice will be quiet, but he's got oodles of knowledge and you'd learn alot about fibre glass.
Others include Hub Nut (which I found after I found BOM), and Built By Many. He's doing a Jaguar E-Type restoration, think he's getting a lot of flack for not having Edd China on there but to be honest the pepole he has had on there have been fantastic.
Finally, there's SOUP. Good channel and very well put together. It's keeping me going while I wait for Episode 21 of Binky...

How could I forget my own channel? (Parknest) Please help me get to 1000 subscribers. I've found that the car stuff seems to be more popular. That's why I bought the Polo (everybody loves some VW content) and the Bimmer.
I'd recommend SOUP as well. HubNut is another (none other than Ian Seabrook who edits the Classic Jaguar and Retro Jap mags). Vantage Point Video is a bloke from Cork who restores Opel Kadett Ds (MK1 Astra). I've started subscribing to the channels that I've mentioned previously. Did anybody see that 240Z on B is for Build? It had BMW E60 M5 running gear (including the entire wring loom and the dashboard). That was Project Binky on steroids.

I won't mention the non-car channels as it would take this thread off-topic.

I think you mean Project Binky on meth. Chris has the drive and daring, but his pace seems at times to be too subjective to the impatience of his viewer base.
I do get that he does this full time now and needs the exposure to keep going, but like when he drops money on expensive parts but stitches together stuff with his Hazard Freight FCAW welder
because his miller GMAW mig setup has and empty bottle, i kinda gotta shake my head. Cutting corners like that wouldn't even remotely pass muster with Project Binky.

Half of his cars wouldn't pass the UK MoT. The 240Z would need an IVA because it has been heavily modified. It certainly wouldn't be classed as a Historic vehicle due to the E60 M5 DNA. With the points system it would probably have to carry the M5 identity for it to be registered over here. Do they have any sort of vehicle inspection in Oregon?

I forgot about Pete C who is a serial MK3 Cortina restorer.
DIY Gang - a bloke in Connecticut who is currently restoring a 2016 Dodge Hellcat that was burnt out.

3d prop studios (a bloke from Grimsby who is building a replica Batmobile in his garage)

bodgit and leggit garage (UK ex-pat in Ireland who has his own car repair business)
DiagnoseDan - a Dutch mechanic (the Dutch equivalent of South Main Auto)
Mercedessource - A bloke from Washington (the state in NW USA, not the US capital) who is a Mercedes Benz specialist.
Shrodingers Box (an American bloke who takes a methodical approach to car repairs)
The Skid Factory, Rob Dahm, Benny's Custom Works and AVE are all favs and well worthy of the mentions that they have already received in this thread. Another one that I have been following of late is The Lab
Laconic Kiwi bloke working from a home workshop. He has a ridiculously small Nissan March powered by a ridiculously large Nissan turbo V6 which is often piloted by Paul Radisich (ex BTCC/ V8 Supercars) as well as doing interesting transplants into various other vehicles. Budget builds professionally done along with plenty of brackets to keep BOM fans satisfied.

"Skid Factory" on youtube.......W/Turbo Yoda" and Woody . you'll catch little ref to BOM from time to time
OK, so the BOM youtube channel is obviously the greatest, but what other channels do people follow?
Toms Turbo Garage and his latest project to put a LS3 into a MX5 has been brilliant.
Any other recommendations?
They are all on the motor trend channel. :)
Not car related but my favourite is diResta both on his own channel and also the make channel.
My favorite car related, besides BOM, is madram11.
X2 on Roadkill
So i just stumbled across BOM (watched for the Police Squad intro, stayed for the fab and sarcasm) and thought i'd chime in with a guy local to me
B is for Build
start with the BRZ restoration episodes and you can follow his progression to his Lotus Evora restoration as his skills improve.
Home Built by Jeff
Not local, but an Aussie guy i found in the MCM forums, really detail oriented restore of a Porsche 911 and starting on a datsun Z soon :D
Engineering Explained
Thoughtful and very detailed explanations of automotive witchcraft
It's not a YouTube channel but a favorite of mine is...

Another machining pron channel. Clickspring is a amateur clockmaker who is now building a copy of the Antikythera mechanism.
#andsetinn, I've been watching Chris' channel for some time now, this is a man who knows what he's doing.
Chris describes himself as an amateur, if that is amateur work then master work must be akin to alchemy!
