its not entirely restored back to stock, its slightly modified with period parts, like a Big valve head, a 60's racing inlet, roller rockers and a slight overbore to the 850
its also been fitted with hi-lo's and alloy finned brake drums (non spacer type)

the paint is Enamel and the colour is Saxon Green, this was a factory colour in Australia in 62-63. it did take me about three months to get the right shade of Saxon green (in Enamel), as there were several manufacturers at the time. this was a "Berger" paint who were bought out by Standox as far as i can remember.
the car was painted Enamel and left to air dry, as the hardener changed the colour slightly.

Ah, such happy memories! Mine was a carefully chosen dark green 1963, with the new Porsche baulk-ring gearbox yet still with the old rubber cone suspension rather than the subsequent neck-breaking hydrospastic. Steered entirely with the right foot and an occasional flick of the wheel. Sliding windows and ginormous in-door storage pockets. Running on all three cylinders until I replaced that burned-out exhaust valve. Lovely restoration there. Enjoy!

Very nice Mini! She turned out really sharp and shined up well. I hope you enjoy driving it every day, the A series engine is a gem.

unfortunately now days I hardly use it, sits in the shed waiting for me to show it some love.
well this not really a project, as its pretty much done
all original rust free 1963 Mk1 morris 850, still has the awesome 850 (slightly modified), single leading shoe drum brakes all round.
as it was found, took me an hour to dig it out of this garden
look at the condition it was found in, it wasn't going to last if it stayed here any longer
two years and countless hours later and this rolled out of the shed
