Discussing with friends today and wondered if you'd come down, will Binky be finished?

Will binky be finished
You're not serious are you mate? Its taken them over 12 months to get the structure sorted to accept just the engine, then they have to fit the engine, powertrain, make mounts, do the interior, paint, fit all ancilliaries, tuning, testing, fix problems, etc etc. (which is all fine by me, makes for great viewing!)
Id say another 12 months until its on its wheels and idling by my calculation. And if tea bags and biscuits suddenly become cheaper, it could be longer again!!!
;)

Mechanically Binky has come pretty far, there is basically nothing preventing it from being a (very solid) rolling chassis. Just bolt on the suspension, wheels and engine. I'd still say that they are about 500+ hours (including lot of fiddling) and 5000+ pounds from being ready to run. Just the electronics are probably a whole episode.
It would be interesting to see a Gantt chart for this project. :D

Lumpy's probably not far off the mark, but we're aiming to be finished next spring in time to tinker and fettle before the start of the show season. Lots to do and we start again tomorrow...

Maybe I should have said, will you make it one year?
It's taken me 10 years to get my mini done and ready, it might be there this year :p
