so what it is.... it was a Toyota FJ40, 1971. As you can see, a basket case. I bought it August, 2014. Now, (blogged here http://www.bangshift.com/forum/forum/bangshift/project-cars-update/959224-fj4overland ) it's a chevy 5.7 liter, EFI, 5 speed, 1 ton axle, 3-link/4-link suspension 4x4. I do Search and Rescue, and most times that rescuing is in snow... so big tires are important as is lower center of gravity. Stock, the rocker-panel edge is 61 cm, now it's 69 cm. Tire size grew from 71 cm to 1.2 m

I'm actually getting pretty close to being road-worthy
a bit of stuff on the side to keep rocks at bay, finish up wiring and it's on the road.... then fix the top so it's more than a 3 season rig

I already blew the first motor, I should have the 2nd motor running tomorrow.... in the States, hooning happens best off-road. Since no police have 38s on their 4x4s.... they don't bother us in our hoons ;)

Maybe it's me. . But, I can't seem to open the 4 photos in your last post. Each link brings me back to the main page of your topic with no new photos.
