i,m really loving this series, I feel I have learned a lot just watching the progression. And that’s where my problem started, I started a build of my own thinking it would be as easy as you make it look, it’s not.
I have a question about the flex shaft, I’m trying to supercharge a 1.7L Honda motor, and like you I want to keep my power steering, alternator and A/C. The supercharger goes right where the power steering pump sits in the kit supplied. I’ve got all the room I need on the other side of the engine over the transmission, so that seems like a perfect place to put it. I think I found the manufacturer that made your flex shaft, but it looks like it is being used for short durations, opening thrust reversers and other aircraft equipment. Do you think it would be up to the strain of spinning a centrifugal supercharger, assuming it was geared properly? I’ve got the facilties to build the bracketry and more importantly a manager who will let me use them off hours.

It's very unlikely to be able to handle the supercharger loads. The bigger one might, but probably cant handle the speed. Ours is rated at 33nm of torque and 6000rpm continuous. Given that they are an aerospace made item, the manufacturer was happy for us to try it in our application knowing the head room these aerospace things have to have.
