This is my project to fit two turbo charged motors into a starlet for use in hill climbs , sprints etc , and to keep me busy in the shed.
I am doing a blog on it and hopefully the link below will take you to the first post , after that you should find a link at the bottom of that page to go to the next post and so on , warning , there are 43 posts so far
Here are some more pics of my project , the first one is the rear motor in place , the next is the start of the rear radiator install. then the before and after of the rear hatch with the vent in it. finally there is how I get the rear motor in and out and lastly the water pipes on the rear motor.

Interesting project. I see you're using a Toyota MR-S gearbox for the rear end. How do the ratios match with the starlet box up front? If they don't match won't one engine be running out of revs before the other?
The MR-S was fitted with a wide variety of different ratios and final drives during its productions run, and according to its marketplace. Japan for instance, had a different gear set to the UK and U.S. Where the car was known as the MR2 Roadster or MR2 Spyder. (Or in France as the MR. MR2 or "M R Deux" famously sounding a little to much like 'Merde".)
Autotest fans in the U.S. Preferred to make use of the Japanese market gearset, but with the LSD fitted to US and UK gearboxes.
For your edification then, here's the ratios fitted to compatible 'boxes over the years, and cars you might find them in. Hope it helps!

Thanks for that information "NothingVentured" . I'm pretty sure tne one I have will be a jap spec one so hopefully the same as the modded starlet one with C56 ratios I have in my race car. Otherwise I'll just get another MR-S one and convert it to rear shift.
I have also just done blog post 44 for those who want to hear the latest
The latest blog post is up , there seems to be a fair bit of time between them these days , I'm sure it's not because I'm acclimatizing slowly to Binky's update time frame , no , really I'm pretty sure it's not
So here's the link to post 50 , pretty much building the 1st ( replacement ) motor for the project , and putting it in the race car where hopefully I won't blow it up like the last 1st project motor I built. projectstarlets.wordpress.com/2016/10/09/project-panda-monium-the-twin-engined-starlet-part-50/
I have added some pics , cos everyone loves pics right?
More (slow) progress has been made , I have finished mounting the drivers seat to give my head more clearance from the cage and make it safer ( I hope ).
I have been building a wall , not to stop illegals or anything , I'm more interested in not being asphyxiated / burnt when driving , lots of CAD going on here , will make wall from something more fireproof
As can be seen here , there's not a lot of room behind the seat , just enough for the harness
I finally got the new project motor on the hub dyno and tweaked the tune a bit , I'm very happy with it , now I just have to get another GTX turbo for the other motor , or probably just stick with the turbos I have . . . . for now
