They used to build them here as a CKD style build, Stanley Motors were the agents and the builders, this dates back to about 1963/64.

I took one of those cars and turned it into a 998cc race Imp, it was good fun until they banned it from the Argus series, I was doing fine but the powers that be saw that twin choke webers and two of them lay outside the rules.

The rules stated only as many chokes that the car came out with were allowed, so my puny single choke Solex could be changed to another make but the single chokehad to remain.

The car was forth in the series when it was excluded from racing
