I have been wondering when a thread like this will popup. I am also convinced these guys know how to stretch it out all the way to 40, and perhaps even beyond
I think we're going to at least Ep.40 what with all the details yet to be done. The Dash, Running Lights, Interior, etc. Maybe even Ep.45?
Edit - Watching RetroPower Cars "Project Utah" just now, reminded me that the Air Con and other engine ancillaries are likely next before the dash goes in.

Guess it depends on how much BOM do and how much Trimworks do I can see an hydro dipped wood grain dash, by www.wickedcoatings.co.uk as seen on Project Utah www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-zXxjArbLQ , being in the equation
Well, if the bonnet doesn't close, I'm sure an adjustment mallet will deal with that.
BTW I was KiwiPaul, but I lost track of my password, and simply could not fathom the password recovery system. So, after a gap of a year or so, I am back as PaulKiwi.....
Large cone filter? I don't think there's space for large anything in that engine bay.*
Reminds me of one of those wooden puzzles that only make a cube on the thousandth assembly attempt - all others resulting in a random pile of oddly-shaped pieces.
(And welcome back KiwiPaulKiwi. Any predictions/hopes for what we'll see in Ep.37?)
*Large heat management challenge excepted.

As in radiators, and air con systems. Everything to control the heat.
Also get all the mechanical systems complete, so that means brakes, clutch, wheels. Then the car will be mechanically complete, and drivable if seat and steering wheel get fitted - but I doubt they will do that. I reckon the interior will be held over for later Eps, as will first drive. Tho' they will prob take a whole lot of sneaky spins in it long before we see Binky do any hop.
As far as we know, and barring re-makes.... the doors and bonnet systems just need assembly.

Welcome back! I wondered what happened to you.

So, Binky has been driven at a car show. It lacks lower dash, centre console, door cards, and maybe the air con system needs completing. The engine needs mapping. That could be covered in one episode. I will wash my mouth out....
Oh, so I have started the Ep 38 page... I forgot about a few items, like a connecting strip between the wheelarches, and sound system. They want bangin' tunes.......
I think the connection between arches is not going to be any more than has been done already. Personally, I think it would look better with a little something connecting them but what with Nik going for the stock look and all, I don't think there is any precedent for such a piece. The last thing they'd want is for to look like some kind of modified boy-racer thing.
I fear that you missed the "bangin' tunes" episode - that's very much covered indeed. I suspect they just ran out of time to plug the head unit and controller in before they headed to Weston Park. Wirings in place on the loom. The door speakers need the door trims so I'd agree that's more likely to be a Ep.38 thing than 37.
Still manages to be exciting, even when we have a bit of an idea of what might be coming.
A friend of mine has a theory that Binky can't end until the MG is teed up to begin. He thinks that the Ford Dafmobile won't satisfy the current patron profile.
I'm a little less cynical (for once). After all, they only really started videoing Project Binky to remember where all the parts came from, and by all accounts producing videos isn't something any sane person would leave their day job for (even with the £££ that result from this many followers). I suspect "fun" is the primary motivation.
So September/October/2022, doesn't bother me too much. Of course I'll watch anything they care to put out and I expect I'll enjoy it far more than anything on telly but I'm not too fussed about the timeline.
Having said that, I would like to know how Nik plans to fix the glove box weave pattern disaster.
"Oh you'll be flumoxed who to post as when Ep.37 lands in "SEPTEMBER" "
Well, I'm practicing using both usernames. I suppose I will have to register another just in case I want to confuse people, or my self, of course....
They can't do a video dismantling the MG because it's just a shell, but they could do one documenting what they have and the process finding what to build. They must have been able to find development staff on the MG by now.
While I'm here, can anyone tell me why I am credited with only 2 posts? I made lots before I lost my password. Have they been deleted because I didn't log in?

I believe it's because you still aren't logged in to your old account, the old account had a space in the user name!
So hang on: are there 3 Paul KiwiPauls now? I didn't realise it was such a popular name in NZ.
At least with 3 it will be possible to get a majority opinion on whether or not an Escargot episode would be the perfect tonic before the next Binky instalment.
If you look on YouTube, Rik announced yesterday that Ep 7 will be out in about a fortnight. Of course, that means 'a month or two... or three...'
In his words:
"Hoping to get episode 37 out in the next couple of weeks or so as most of it is already filmed, the last section is taking some time because what Nik is planning is utterly insane."
Today we find out whether we've managed to fix the very expensive, MIL spec Flexi drive that broke almost first time out. Instead of paying for another and waiting 4 months for delivery, we've bodged it back together using stuff we had kicking around. It verks! For how long is as yet unknown but she started off a jump battery, the alternator light went off immediately and she charged at 15v for 5 mins. Then started the engine twice with no assistance. Phew... Next fix - clutch pedal ratio. Didn't film any of it. It's a colossal PITA to do when we've literally no idea - only a hunch - that it would work. Ep 37, Weston Park film, new Howie Did It and episode 38 in the pipeline.

There certainly has to be enough footage to fill about 5 "howie did it" episodes featuring frenzied troubleshooting slash re-engineering action. Can't wait.
I'm guessing not this weekend. There's normally a hint by now if a release is imminent. As you say Niek, there should be enough footage; I suppose that also means editing hell.
