Will there be any upgrades done to the Celica Engine and if so what kind of upgrades?

Thanks in advance!

Well I assume your're partly right at least, it will probably be more like an "engine with a car" rather than a car with an engine haha :)

When they were wondering how to get the motor into the bay they touched on ditching the old turbo in favour of something more modern and interesting but not what else exactly. Baited breath.

Well, we're going to clean it. And possibly treat it to a new cambelt. More than that - well you're just going to have to wait and see.

New paint! The engine has to have new paint. That is the most important part of the engine rebuild :).

As Nick said, "seems to have a little compression problem", I don't think a t-belt and paint will be enough!

I would suggest "jack-up the radiator cap and exchange cars" but you already did that!

Nah, that's just a junker engine/gearbox they picked up for "fitting" purposes...

Turbo sizing and changing was mentioned earlier in the build. However its more of a question of the ancillaries such as the water pump, for both the inter-cooler and the engine.

Have there been considerations for anti lag? i understand that the mini's weight won't be providing a lack of response.

Ridiculous idea. Just oil & filter it then hit the loud pedal.

They've got to get it running first. They had to do away with the original turbo because it was taking up valuable radiator space and then there's the ancillaries they've had to remove just to get the engine in. One of the criteria of the project was to use unmodified outer panels aside from the wheel arches.

We're looking forward to the moment the engine goes in as I'm sure you are.
