I am curious to know how much stiffer the body shell is than a standard Mini. And how the weight compares. I haven't noticed any extra metal above the waist line, so it won't protect if you roll it.
They did put gussets in about every possible location from the shoulders down but I don't know how sturdy the top of a Mini really is in the event of a roll over.
In the event of anything other than a mild rollover, they'd be toast. Most cars of that vintage simply don't have much roll over protection, they are typically good for one low speed roll over at most, believe it or not, the windshield provides a good deal of the strength in a roll over crash. Once the windshield is crushed or pops out, the body will fail.
That being said, roll overs are quite uncommon and shouldn't be too much of a concern if you are driving even remotely sanely.

There's little chance of either of us driving even remotely sanely, so we have already taken steps to protect ourselves in the event of a roll over. It's all there in the videos....
Mk1 Mini cannot roll over as standard, I even Googled it but couldn't find a single example. Then there is the fact that Binky has had lot of weight added to the bottom so it is even more unlikely to roll over, unless it is to ask someone to scratch its belly.
