A question, since you have to bin the distributor (who needs 19th century tech anyway). Where will you get the cam and crank signals?. I'm guessing there had to be a cam/crank sensors for the injection but were they inside the distributor or separate?
I'm across the pond and haven't yet found any good info on the UK version of the engine. The shops ALLDATA subscription only covers North America. Thanks

I finally found something. According to Wikipedia, the UK version Celica gt-4 with the 3s-gte started in 1990. According to ALLDATA, that distributor had the G1, G2, & NE pickups internal to the distributor. Nik will have to find some other location for the cam & crank position sensors to drive the Link G4+ Fury ECU. Any ideas where Nik might put them? Could the cap & rotor be removed, Dist shaft shortened and a custom cover made? Shortening the distributor while retaining signal generation? Is there enough room?

Seems trivial to have crank position picked up off the flywheel, seeing as how there's already an open area of the bellhousing that is used for a mount bracket.
I seem to recall that in one of the videos they claim that since they will be using Link engine computer the distributor will not be needed so I'm sure they have some sort of a plan.

I was watching the latest installment of "Tom's Turbo Garage" yesterday "Street Sleeper Part 4" and at 0:32 in I saw exactly what I was thinking of on the Mitsubishi Gallant he's doing. It looks like a cam position sensor bolted to the back of the intake cam, maybe it or something like it can be fitted to Binky, and a crank position sensor can be run off the crank pulley or flywheel?
