Merging a 1990 Isuzu Amigo (aka MU, Frontera) with a 1997 Ford Explorer 5.0 V8 AWD drivetrain.

Initial challenges met:

  • moved front diff to left side to match left transfer case output (fliped axle housing but not diff)
  • relocated left lower rear A arm frame support and left lower rear A arm pivot 1½" outboard to clear diff pinion offset and matched right side.
  • moved torsion bar rear supports 1½" outboard (left side completed in photo) which also accommodates larger Borg Warner 4404 transfer case.

Next: Notch oil sump to move engine forward (1"? TBD)
