Spot welding
(Preview)
I started to rewatch the whole series again, and couldn't help but notice there is actually one shot with a spot welder on the screen when the first piece of shiny door post going in, but immediately it has been replaced by a dozen plug welds. And richard did mention the reason the first panel had predril...

Road or Track?
(Preview)
Was having a discussion earlier on another forum (sorry) And the subject got around to the use of Binky on the road, some people seem to think this is a road car. others think its a rally car. Personally I suspect its a track day car and will never be road legal due to the strict BIVA test it would need to be...

Hi guys, love your work truly talented. Really keen to see what the Integrale badge you showed and said not supposed to see that will become. Any teasers as to any Integrale gear finding its way into Binky?

Cooling
(Preview)
Greeting from the "colonies", The vents you pressed in the "scuttle panel"are both elegant and attractive. I was wondering what else might be done to cool the engine compartment. I assume that the extra space in the "wings" cant be used for plumbing or auxiliaries do to the epic articulation of the...

Fastest Mini? So what does Binky have to beat?
(Preview)
First off loving the build! anyway... The goal is to create one of the fastest Mini’s on the planet Ok for something to be the fastest it needs to be quantified - fastest at what? Are we just talking Minis with MOTs? Then what? Fastest 0-60? (IMHO a useless and out dated test) Fastest 1/4 mile? (better pe...

body shell stiffness
(Preview)
I am curious to know how much stiffer the body shell is than a standard Mini. And how the weight compares. I haven't noticed any extra metal above the waist line, so it won't protect if you roll it.

What's left to show IMO?
(Preview)
Simply put, an amazing build. I have never been so fascinating with an on the side build. Completely sympathize with having no on the side time too. 1.) Fuel tank, pump and lines. 2.) Battery mounting and running the harness. 3.) Turbo and building the exhaust. (You already said you might show ex...

suspension rates/firmness
(Preview)
I'm thinking, since the Binky bodyshell (even with all the strengthening material added) will be "a little bit lighter" than the GT-4 will the suspension not be too firm for everyday road use? Sorry for asking such as stupid question. :)

fuel tank
(Preview)
Hey lads, where are you gonna put the fuel tank? The standard 7.5 gallon mini tank won't fit I'm thinking, your a lil bit tight for room in the boot and the rear diff takes up all the room under the boot floor, and I'm thinking binky will be a thirsty enough wee beastie, so what's the plan?

On BOM Facebook there were quite a lot of comments from Norwegians who seem to hold high opinions of themselves and had some comments directed towards drivers of other countries. I was able to unearth this vid with the latest on the BOM Norway 2015 season: [video=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Lock Barrels

Inspired by the genius that is Binky, I thought I'd have a go at fitting remote central locking to my own rather more modest project. Ideally I'd like to disable the original lock barrels, as they're so easy to force. How/Did you guys manage to get around this? - especially as the plate on the back of th...

Not that I'd want you to quit the day jobs, although you two clearly have skills to spare, but what ARE your day jobs (if you don't mind my asking). And i don't think you could convince me that Nik is a mortician, and that Richard is an aircraft pilot... I would hazard a guess that this welding/fabrication...

(Preview)
Having only just seen the "with wheels" pic, it strikes me that Binky is coming out slightly wider than your average Mini 1000... Given BOM haven't been shy of buggering about with (up) the steering geometry, did you give any thought to reducing the track? Clearly this approach would have...

will you be able to drive Binky on the road?
(Preview)
I have no idea of the regulations for getting a modified car registered to drive on public roads in the UK ( all us Aussie read is that going into London in a car built more than ten minutes old is asking for trouble) Q1 will you be able to drive Binky on public roads in the UK once it's finished? I assuming so o...
